Directions

Clapham Common South Circular is actually the road around Clapham Common incase anyone was wondring. Clapham Junction (busiest train station in EUROPE don't yaknow, how appropriate) is the nearest train station and Clapham Common is the nearest Underground station.

St Barnabas Church is on side of the South Circular at the end of Lavender Gardens (Clapham Common Northern side)

From Clapham Junction train station:

Leave, turn left and goto the second crossroads. Cross over to Lavender Hill (on the right) and walk up for 10 minutes, turn right down Lavender Gardens and it's on your left at the end.

From Clapham Common underground station (NORTHERN LINE):

Leave up the stairs and take a 37 or 35 bus from outside - this will pass the church. Your travel passes/zone pases will cover buses aswell as trains and the underground. Get off at the stop just before St Barnabas at the cross road. If you're not sure ask the driver to tell you when to get off.

A to Z maps are recommended though for anyone who isn't used to London, ason the day you never know if there was a bomb scare on one of the traintracks, you might have to pick your way round a bit. I know it's unlikely but our directions are goign to fall short should there be any real trouble with London transport, so I advise strongly come prepared to read a couple of maps incase the Capital does the dirty on us :)

Maps

Hoorah! Now you can actually see visually the area and make sense of what I was goin on about above.

Please be patient with these maps. They're about 1 Meg each so let them load, or download them.

CLICK HERE to view the London Underground map. Clapham Common is on the Northern Line (black) in the middle of the bottom

CLICK HERE to view the A-to-Z map of that area of London. It clearly shows where BCE is in regards to the surrounding area, where Clapham South and Clapham Common Underground stations are along with Clapham Junction train station. The purple lines point to the spots captioned, and the pink lines show you the route to get to BCE from either Clapham Common Underground station or from Clapham Junction train station.
